Don has been singing barbershop since 1995 when he joined 4 times UK Gold medalist chorus, The Crawley Chordsmen who were the first chorus established outside of the USA.

Don then spent the next 6 Years of his barbershop career performing and competing at home and abroad with Windsor a cappella, joining when the Chorus first formed in 2000. Don is now proud to be singing at the highest level with the world famous Cambridge Chord Company.

Within weeks of joining the Crawley chorus as a bass back in 1995, Don was invited to sing Baritone in an established quartet. However, he soon discovered there were far too many 'girly' notes in the baritone part for his liking so he joined newly formed quartet ‘Format’ singing his normal bass part. He has held the title of Bass section leader in several other quartet line ups ever since.

Out of all the quartets he has sung in over the years, Don says "Experiment IV takes the biscuit. More tea anyone?”
